The first prototype of the RAPP architecture is up and running!

RAPP technical partners produced and tested the first platform prototype on the occasion of the project technical meeting held at CERTH/ITI premises in Thessaloniki, 1-2 July 2015. The technical meeting held by the technical partners was the opportunity to check the entirety of the RAPP workflow and the global progress of the “RAPP Platform” layer and the “Robot Platform” layer. The conclusion of this meeting was very positive as the project is moving forward. Indeed, a server was successfully deployed with the “RAPP Platform”, the “HOP” services (“HOP” being a communication protocol specifically developed for the project by the INRIA partner) and the “RAPP Store”. RAPP partners are now in debugging and testing phase. Create an account as developer in the “RAPP Store”, store information in the database, submit an application, package it and store it, are also tasks that were performed during the tests. RAPP partners also successfully downloaded an application to the NAO robot from the “RAPP Store” and launched it via the “Core Agent”. Then the robotic application successfully invoked a service from the “RAPP Platform”.
