Assistive and Companion Robots in the frame of the RAPP project

A paper entitled “Assistive and Companion Robots in the frame of the RAPP project has recently been accepted for the 6th Panhellenic Conference of Biomedical Technology Conference organized by the Greek Society for Biomedical Technology (ELEVIT) that will be held 6-8 May 2015 at the President Hotel in Athens, Greece. This paper written by Sofia Reppou, Research Assistant/Psychologist and George Karagiannis, Scientific Researcher at the ORMYLIA Foundation presents how the RAPP project aims to facilitate the daily life of the elderly with the assistance of robotic agents.

The Greek Society for Biomedical Technology (ELEVIT) is a scientific organization, which aims to generally promote technological application in the biomedical sciences. More specifically, it aims to foster research and promote education in the field of Biomedical Engineering. The 6th Panhellenic Conference of Biomedical Technology Conference will discuss topics of interest such as: Health Care Technology Assessment, Biosensors, Bioinformatics, Biomaterials, Biomecanics, and other issues related to the field of Biomedical Engineering.
